Declaration of accessibility of the Local Data Bank website

The Statistical Computing Centre undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the accessibility of digital websites and mobile applications of public entities. The statement on accessibility applies to the Local Data Bank website.

Everyone has the right to request the provision of digital accessibility for a website, mobile application, or any of their elements. You can also request information to be provided through an alternative means of access, such as reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc. The request should include the contact information of the person making the request, indicate the specific website or mobile application in question, and provide a preferred method of contact. If the requesting person requires information to be presented in an alternative format, they should specify their preferred method of receiving that information. The public entity should fulfill the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the day of the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity should promptly inform the requester when the request will be fulfilled, with the condition that the deadline cannot exceed 2 months from the day of the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not feasible, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. If the public entity refuses to fulfill a request for digital accessibility or an alternative means of access to information, the requester can file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or its element. After exhausting the aforementioned procedure, a request can also be submitted to Commissioner for Human Rights.

Architectural Accessibility

Building: Statistics Poland Aleja Niepodległości 208, 00-925 Warsaw.

There is one main entrance to the building from Al. Niepodległości 208. The building consists of seven floors and four wings, marked A, B, C, D on each floor.

There are no stairs to the main hall from outside.

The reception is located directly on the left side of the main entrance. The further passage is secured with gates.

The Statistics Poland building is largely adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. The stairs in the main hall (block C) are equipped with movable platforms for transporting a wheelchair, and the appropriate width of passageways inside the building is ensured. The elevators are equipped with voice information and signs for the blind. Block D of the Statistics Poland building, where the Central Statistical Library is located, is adapted to the needs of disabled people, i.e.: it has an appropriately wide entrance door, a staircase, and an entrance platform for people in wheelchairs; the reading room has a non-slip floor and the toilets are adapted to the needs of disabled people. There are 6 toilets in the building adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Toilets for disabled people are located on the ground floor of the main hall, to the right of the entrance, and four on individual floors (floors 1, 3, 5 and 6).

There are 7 parking spaces for disabled people in front of the building.

There are no induction loops in the Statistics Poland building.

There are no Braille signs in the building, no contrast markings or large print markings for the blind and visually impaired.
