Data on municipal land were obtained until 2014 from the reporting SG-01 Statistics of the municipality: local government and transport. However, since 2015 these data have come from the administrative source - from aggregate data derived from the Main Office for Geodesy and Cartography (GUGiK).
In view of the above, the following changes have been made:
1.The aggregation of result data for counties, voivodships and Poland. Until 2014 the data for counties were the sum of municipal data, the data for the voivodships were the sum of data from the counties, the data for the country - the sum of data from the voivodships. Since 2015 the data for counties, voivodships and the country are supplemented with aggregated statistics obtained from the Main Office for Geodesy and Cartography (GUGiK).
2.The date on which the data are collected.
Until 2014 the data obtained were as of 31 December.
Since 2015 as of 1 January.
3.Precision of data.
Until 2014 the area of land was given in ha to one decimal place.
Since 2015 the area is given in full hectares.
4.The scope of the reference.
Since 2015 presenting data on municipal land has been extended to register subgroups:
4.3 - other land included in register group 4, not included in subgroups 4.1 and 4.2;
5.2 - land transfered to municipal legal persons for perpetual usufruct;
5.3 - land transfered to housing associations for perpetual usufruct;
and group 4 was isolated (from the existing sum of groups 4 and 5).

For urban-rural gminas, one report is produced; there is no separate information available for the urban part and the rural part; From 1999 including city councils in cities with powiat status.
