Presented data refer to market transactions, i.e. sales on the free market (with some exclusions, e.g. sales between related parties) and sales under tender procedure. In case of lack of appropriate information in datasets from RCN (until 31 July 2021 – RCiWN), the breakdown into the primary and secondary markets is based on the assumption that sales on the primary market concern transactions made on the free market by legal persons and the average price per 1 m2 of usable floor area is at least PLN 2,000. Transactions on the secondary market include the rest of market transactions concluded on the free market as well as sales under tender procedure. In December 2021, the BDL was supplied with final data for the years 2010-2014, which refer to a greater number of purchase and sale transactions of residential premises compared to the data previously published by the Statistics Poland. Since 2020, no data for the city of Koszalin and incomplete data for the city of Szczecin.

Data presented by turnover form covers transactions concluded on the free market, resulting from the sales preceded by a tender and from non-tender sales, where the State Treasury, a gmina, a powiat, a voivodship, or a natural or legal person, holding the ownership or joint ownership title, can act as the seller.
