Everyone has the right to request the provision of digital accessibility for a website, mobile application, or any of their elements. You can also request information to be provided through an alternative means of access, such as reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc. The request should include the contact information of the person making the request, indicate the specific website or mobile application in question, and provide a preferred method of contact. If the requesting person requires information to be presented in an alternative format, they should specify their preferred method of receiving that information. The public entity should fulfill the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the day of the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity should promptly inform the requester when the request will be fulfilled, with the condition that the deadline cannot exceed 2 months from the day of the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not feasible, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. If the public entity refuses to fulfill a request for digital accessibility or an alternative means of access to information, the requester can file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or its element. After exhausting the aforementioned procedure, a request can also be submitted to Commissioner for Human Rights.
