    Intramural expenditure on R&D in business enterprise sector by origin of funds: Expenditure incurred in reporting year for R&D performed by the busimess enterprise sector, independently of sources of funds. They include both the current and capital expenditure for fixed assets related to the R&D, but doesn't include depreciation of fixed assets. Since 2016, data on R&D by institutional sectors were calculated according to the methodology of the Frascati Manual 2015. Data in division of origin of funds for R&D include internal and external funds. Internal funds are the amount of money spent on R&D that originate within the control of and are used for R&D at the discretion of a reporting statistical unit. Internal R&D funds do not include R&D funds received from other statistical units explicitly for intramural R&D. External funds are the amount of money spent on R&D that originate outside the control of a reporting unit.
