Group description
Since January 2012, the foster care of a child (statutory - care surrogate) is divided into familial and institutional. Until now, there were foster parents and childcare centers. The institutional care, outside care and educational institutions also include preadoption centers and regional centers of care and therapy.
Subgroup description
The socialisation centre provides round-the-clock care and education, meeting the necessary needs of the child. It conducts educational, corrective, compensatory, speech therapy, and therapeutic classes that compensate for the lack of upbringing in the family and prepare for social life, and for disabled children, appropriate rehabilitation and specialist classes. It provides children with education, compensates for developmental and school lags, takes measures to return the child to the natural family, find an adoptive family or place in foster family care. A family centre creates one family with many children for children who have not found a foster or adoptive family, enables them to raise numerous siblings, provides education, and compensates for developmental and school delays. It maintains contact with the adoption and care centre and the help centre. It can accommodate 4 to 8 children, in justified cases the number of children may be reduced or increased.
