| geodetic area | Geodetic area of land: Information on the directions of use of the country's land area based on the land and building register kept by the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, adjusted on the basis of proportionality to the geodetic area of the relevant unit of the territorial division of the country (as of 1 January). |
| leveling surface | The compensatory area (in EGiB) is the difference between the geodetic area and the cadastral area. This difference results from the accuracy of calculating (mainly rounding) the areas of plots and land uses, as well as the accuracy of calculating the area based on the external boundaries of the territorial division unit (voivodship, powiat, gmina). |
