Procurement prices refer to average prices paid by economic entities purchasing agricultural products directly from producers (excluding natural persons). Procurement prices are calculated as a quotient of value (without value added tax) and quantity of each agricultural product purchased in a surveyed period. In 2012, no data for potatoes in the months of the first quarter.

In some months of 2020, due to the pandemic, market prices were not quoted. No data for 2020. Price of cattle for slaughter was calculated: Poland in total - as average weighted prices with the adoption of the structure of procurement quantity of young cattle and cows for slaughter; voivodships - as an arithmetic average of monthly price quotations. To calculate the monthly price of cattle for slaughter at voivodship level the information on procurement quantity of young cattle and cows for slaughter (from R-10 survey) as well as data on market- place prices of cows and young cattle for slaughter (from R-CT survey) is essential. Lack of the one of the mentioned data makes impossible to calculate the monthly and annual price at voivodship level.

Marketplace prices are those received by farmers in marketplace transactions between farmers or farmers and non-agricultural population. These prices have been compiled on the basis of price quotations of selected products, provided by a network of the Statistics Poland interviewers on about 350 agricultural marketplaces on the territory of entire country. Average monthly prices have been calculated as an arithmetic mean of all quotations at the national and voivodship level. Average quarterly, semi-annual and annual prices have been calculated as the arithmetic means of average monthly prices.Due to the pandemic, price quotations at marketplaces were not conducted and data are missing for certain periods in 2020 and 2021, i.e.: from April to June, November and December 2020, the 2nd quarter and first half of 2020; the 4th quarter and second half of 2020; calendar year 2020 and from January to June 2021, the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2021 and the first half of 2021 and calendar year 2021.

Average prices for the purchase/sale of arable land intended for agricultural use, based on transactions involving the surveyed farmer's holding or land in the surrounding area.
Information on private-market purchase/sale prices for arable land is obtained through a semi-annual interview conducted by a surveyor with the operator of an individual farm selected for representative agricultural surveys. Until 2025, average arable land prices were calculated as the arithmetic mean of average quarterly prices. From 2026, average arable land prices are calculated as weighted averages based on average quarterly prices and land area, broken down by region and land category. Data on land area comes from the current structure of farms.
Due to the pandemic, certain marketplace price recordings were not conducted in 2020 and 2021; consequently, data converted into rye equivalents are unavailable. Data converted into slaughter pig equivalents are available up to 2019.
