The percentage of children cared for in nurseries is the ratio of the number of all children cared for in nurseries, nursery wards and since 2012 - children's clubs, to the number of children in the age group up to 3 years - expressed as a percentage. Indicators relating to the number and structure of the population (gender, age group) since 2020 have been recalculated in accordance with the balance sheet prepared on the basis of the results of the National Census 2021. The base for the set of institutions committed to fill in the questionnaire survey was the Register of Nurseries, excluding the category "nursery wards".

Data from the Central Register of Insured Social Insurance Institution. Data for Poland "total" may differ from the sum from voivodships, due to the lack of information on insured persons, which makes it impossible to assign data to individual voivodships.
