In 2019, the items: total in-patients, in-patients - children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, in-patients - people aged 65 and more are not comparable to previous years.

Pursuant to the Law on the State Emergency Medical Services, dated 8th September 2006, the units of the system are hospital emergency wards and emergency rescue teams, which are divided into basic, specialist and medical air rescue. The term "ambulance emergency rescue teams" no longer exists and data on this subject has ceased since 2010. The data also includes admission rooms that were reported as units cooperating with the State Emergency Medical Services system. Indicators relating to the number and structure of the population (gender, age group) since 2010 have been recalculated in accordance with the balance sheet prepared on the basis of the results of the National Census 2011. Indicators relating to the number and structure of the population (gender, age group) since 2020 have been recalculated in accordance with the balance sheet prepared on the basis of the results of the National Census 2021.
