Total area is reported including internal waters; In 2004, data is presented according to the national methodology; in permanent crops, only orchards were given, including nurseries of fruit-bearing trees and shrubs and wicker in cultivation, since 2005 the data is given in accordance with the Eurostat methodology; arable land - excluding home gardens, crops under cover, wicker and ornamental tree and shrub nurseries, and excluding nurseries of forest trees for commercial purposes; home gardens - without the area of cultivation of fruit trees and shrubs from home gardens, this area was included in permanent crops along with the remaining area of fruit trees and shrubs cultivated outside plantations and the cultivation of trees and shrubs in orchards; permanent crops - including trees and shrubs outside orchards (including home gardens), including nurseries of ornamental trees and shrubs and forest trees for commercial purposes. Since 2007, in accordance with the Eurostat methodology, the following are presented - arable land, meadows and permanent pastures, home gardens, perennial crops, fallow land - in good agricultural condition, i.e. maintained in accordance with the standards set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of 12 March 2007 on minimum standards (Journal of Laws No. 46, item 306). The data is not fully comparable with the data for the previous years. From 2007, not “fallow”, but “fallow land” (including green fertilizers). Years 2004 and 2005 are presented according to administrative boundaries, from 2006 according to the user's seat. Starting from 2010, a new definition of an agricultural holding was applied. The differences in the total area of agricultural holdings and the agricultural land area in 2010 result from the change in the definition of an agricultural holding, according to which agricultural holdings do not include holders of agricultural land who do not conduct agricultural activity nor holders of up to 1 ha of agricultural land engaged in small-scale agricultural activity.
