From 2014, due to changes in the organization and methodology of agricultural research, the data for the voivodships are presented for the years in which there will be research the structure of farms and agricultural censuses (ie. Every 3-4 years). Since 2010 introduced a new definition of a agricultural holding. Differences in the number of agricultural holdings in 2010 are the result of changes in the definition of the agricultural holding, according to which, farms do not include holders of agricultural land which are not engaged in agricultural activities and the holders of up to 1 ha of agricultural land engaged in agricultural activities on a small scale.In 2011 data due to the small size of the sample were generalized only to the level of the country. As of June. Due to the generalization of data from sample surveys are not always the sum of the data for individual voivodships gives the total size of the Polish.

Data collected as part of the representative Integrated Farm Statistics (IFS) 2023 survey, co-financed by the Euoropean Union, conducted from June 1 to August 14, 2023. The precision farming survey collected information on whether the farm had or used (owned or rented): fully mechanized, autonomous machines, i.e. robots (milking robots, feeding robots, manure cleaning robots, self-propelled or flying robots such as drones, used for weeding, pest control, mowing, harvesting or other field work, tractors with auto-guidance, auto-steering or parallel tracking); GPS-based plant protection product application equipment; sprayers for banded application of plant protection products; variable-rate fertilizer or plant protection product application, sowing or planting, precision irrigation or weeding; precise crop monitoring; and soil sampling for analysis. The data presented was compiled according to the seat of the holder of the agricultural farm.
