      public institutionsAccording to the Act from 30 August 1991 on health care establishments (Journal of Laws, No. 91, item 408 with later amendments) health care establishments are split into public and non-public. The PUBLIC health care establishment can be established by a minister or a central body of government administration, a voivode, a territorial self-government unit, a State-owned medical higher school or a State-owned higher school performing teaching and research in the domain of medical sciences.
