Stage vocational schools - indicators P4059 2008-2023Statistical locality1
Stage I sectoral vocational school is a three-year post-primary school leading to the award of a diploma comfirming vocational qualifications upon passing examination certifying the qualifications in a given occupation. Education may be continued in a stage II sectoral vocational school within the same qualification, or in a general secondary school for adults, starting from the second grade. A graduate of a stage I sectoral vocational school obtains basic sectoral education. As part of the implementation of the new education system, recruitment to the first grade of stage I sectoral vocational schools began in the 2017/18 school year, following the transformation of the former basic vocational schools. Some students from the former basic vocational schools remain in stage I sectoral vocational schools (in the 2017/18 school year, they were in the second grade, and in the 2018/19 school year, in the third grade). In the 2017/18 and 2018/19 school years, students from basic vocational school sections were presented together with stage I sectoral vocational school students.
