| 2023 | Region (NUTS 2) | 198 |
Due to the large share of part-time work and seasonal employment of temporary workers, contracted workers, persons working within the confines of neighbourly assistance and other
employed persons, labour input in agriculture was expressed in conventional (Annual Work Units AWU). Annual Work Unit (AWU) is an equivalent of a full-time work. It is calculated by dividing
the number of hours worked during a year by the annual number of hours equivalent to a fulltime work. In Poland, 2120 hours of work per year have been assumed as the equivalent of
a full-time work, i.e. 265 working days, 8 hours of work per day. When calculating the labour input expressed in AWU (in accordance with the Eurostat methodology), the condition was kept that
1 person may not have more than 1 AWU, even if in reality he/she works longer.
