Due to the change of nomenclature, the name "Employee allotment gardens" was replaced with the term "Family allotment gardens". The basis for the change is the RESOLUTION NO. 1 / XVI / 2005 of the NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE POLISH ALLOTMENT FEDERATION of October 6, 2005 on the replacement of the concept of "EMPLOYEE ALLOTMENT GARDEN" by the term "FAMILY ALLOTMENT GARDEN". The data presented in this subgroup come from the SG 01 report “Gmina statistics: forestry and environmental protection”, section 3, which covers the reporting obligations of gminas. In the case of the green areas of housing estates, the data are aggregated from two sources: • SG 01 “Gmina statistics: forestry and environmental protection”, section 3 – data reported by gminas, • M 01 “Report on housing stocks”, section 13 – data reported by entities other than gminas, such as housing communities, housing cooperatives, public building societies (TBS), and other entities of the national economy (including establishments). Since 2024, data on the green areas of housing estates, resulting from the combined information from both reports, have been presented at the powiats level and are available in the subgroup “Green areas by location in powiats.”

Since 2024, data on the area of residential green spaces have been presented at different levels. Residential green spaces administered by gmina local governments (data from the SG-01 report “Gmina Statistics: forestry and environmental protection”) are published at the gmina level. Other residential green spaces managed by other entities, such as housing cooperatives, social housing associations (TBS), or homeowners’ associations (data from the M-01 report “Report on dwelling stock”) are presented at the powiat level.
